Ok, that's a good place to start.
Have you looked at the properties of any of these temp files that are
replicating themselves. We used to have an issue similar to this with
Outlook Express and this went back to Windows 9x; not sure when they
fixed
it but it was quite a pain at one time and I don't recall the cause.
Nonetheless, I'd check the properties on some of these replicated files.
I'd also check to see if an error is being generated in the Event Viewer
to
coincide with when you delete these files as that might give a clue as to
the source of the issue. If you open Administrative Tools in Control
Panel,
you will find Event Viewer. If you check the three sections, you may
find
an error that coincides with the deletion. If you do, double click the
error, the information within might give a clue as to the source of the
issue. It would be an event that appears at roughly the same time as
when
the copy appears.
