equation problem

i am having problems with my ms word 2003. the word can not read math
equation in my notes. maybe i think my notes are from open source program but
my other friends ms word have no problem. the math equations in my word are
changed into some weird symbols.it just like a virus though. just math
equation that have the effect. others infomation in my note are as usuall.

So, anyone please help me!
