Epson TM T-88 III + Ethernet interface

Hi All,

I just bought several of them and I am having trouble trying to configure
them properly.

To configure them I'm using "TMNet WinConfig" in WinXP.

When I turn on a printer connected to the LAN, the program see it and
show the following data:
1) MAC Address: a unique code that one can use to detect the printer even if
its IP number is not already assigned, or it is the default one;
2) IP Address: that's what I want to set.

When I turn on a new printer for the first time, TMNet see it and tell me
that there is a new printer with some MAC Address and with IP number:
"NONE".

So I can use TMNet to set an IP number for every printer, and in a few
seconds all of them are rightly in the LAN, with their IP numbers, ready to
print everything
that some pc of the LAN send to it.

I did this part several times, and everything went fine.

The problem arise when I turn off the printers. Because if I turn them
off and then I turn them on again, I don't find anymore my printers with
their IP number, the ones that I assigned; but instead all of them have the
same IP number, the default one, as they were new and never used.

So I have to set again all of them every time I turn them off.

It seems impossible to me that printers so expansive can't keep in memory a
static IP number, so probably I'm doing something wrong. But what?

Is there a switch in the printer, or a flag in the program, to tell the
printers to keep their static IP number?

Thanks in advance for any help
(and excuse me for my bad English)
