Did it not come with OCR software? Check the manual.

I would ask Epson - or Google - but I would have thought that it is your
system that needs to have the requirements to run any ICR/OCR software - not
the scanner.
I may be wrong, but what little I have read in the past in mags I don't
think there has ever been any reference to printer/scanner makes - only the
computer.

Yes, I have the same model and you use it from the Smart Panel which was
installed when you first set up the printer, look in your programs folder
for the user guides.

You use OCR on a scanned image. What particular hardware device that scanned
image came from doesn't matter.

So the answer to your question is yes. However note that some OCR software
may work more easily with particular scanners than others.
