Epson Stylus color 300

In the Windows Vista home edition 32 bit is not possible to choose the right
driver for the Epson Stylus Color 300, I tried the Stylus color 200 but I get
blue only pages.
Can you suggest a driver more correct for the Epson Stylus color 300 ? I
mean another available printer driver or a web site with a correct driver.

Sorry about that, but there isn't a Vista driver for the 300.
I just went out and bought a new CX3900 to replace a 3yr old
Lexmark and Epson printer/s.
The Epson only cost me $AU88 and I got $AU30 back from Epson.
Look around your local stores, there's plenty of good, cheap
printers available that are Vista ready.
Although this doesn't solve your problem, it's the easiest
way out.

Is the Stylus 300 a US model? Work yourself around the world at epson.com
and see if you can find something more appropriate.

The 300 isn't covered by Epson, nor is it on the
Vista DVD.
As I said it would be cheaper/quicker to buy a new printer
that has the Vista drivers either on the installation CD
or a download from Epson. Why waste time trying to do
a 'Worldwide' search for a driver that doesn't exist.

Some people love their older printers, no matter how ancient. They feel
familiar with them and don't want to put what was a perfectly decent printer
(for its day) into the trash. Then there are others who jump at the chance
to upgrade their hardware, despite the newer chipped cartridges that prevent
refilling or cheap after-market alternatives.

It's a big world, and people make their own choices. If someone likes their
old 300, just give them all the alternatives. No one likes being told to
throw something away when it still works even if it was never the best
output in the world. I guess you need to talk to Art Entlich (in
comp.periph.printers) about the landfill problems the world is facing.

The HP Deskjet 500 printer driver is about the most generic you can find and
it WILL let the OP print, even if it isn't quite the look they want.

I have tried the diver of the HP Deskjet 500, I got a printing without sense.
Please, can you explain how is it possible to verify when in the next Windows
Vista updates a correct drive for the Epson Stylus color 300 will be issued ?

If Epson has decided it won't write a driver, unfortunately that's it, they
won't do it.
