Epson R300 - card reader transfers at USB 2 speed

I notice that the Epson R300 is USB 2 enabled. Does this mean that images on
memory cards can be transferred to a PC via the printer's built in slots at
USB 2 speed?

Only if your computer is USB 2. Otherwise it will transfer at USB 1 speed.
