Epson R265 sucks ink!

After printing 5 A4 photos in high quality the black cartridge was
empty. With my previous Epson 890 I could print about 50 sheets before
replacing. However the print result is very good on different paper
brands.

What a surprise...50% of the ink is wasted in cleaning cycles and
basically just dumping ink so you NEED to buy more expensive Epson ink.
Should look into Canon or perhaps HP printers. The ink probably cost a
nickel per cart and they sell it for $15....good business to be in.

I know a few owners who have returned their R265's because of the ink
usage.

Thank God I buy Bulk ink !!!

The r265 uses 8ml cartridges which is probably why they run out quicker.
