Epson R220 Paper Feed Problems.

Anyone having or had trouble with feeding paper? I use the bog standard
A4 paper and 140g A4, and lately I'm having a lot of problems getting
the paper to feed. 9/10 times it just wont feed.Took the printer to an
Epson dealer and they cleaned it and said it was dusty and the 140g
could be the culprit..Took the printer home and printed off one 140
sheet...Then the problem was back...After much experimenting it does it
more with the 140g than the standard A4. But surely the printer should
be able to handle any weight of paper?

Take a piece of student grade watercolor paper and cut it to size for
your printer. Place some isopropyl alcohol into a spray bottle, and
spray the paper surface on one side, trying to keep the outer most edges
dry. Do NOT saturate the paper to the point where it becomes floppy and
weak. Then feed it into the printer using the load/eject buttons. Do
this numerous times flipping the paper over and over. If it gets dirty,
replace it with another and do the same thing. Then send some clean
regular bond paper through until it comes out dry.

This usually will resolve slipping problems for a while.
