Epson paper vs HP paper as to fading and general longevity

Just bought an HP 8250 and discover I seem to prefer Epson
paper but I'm concerned about making archival prints which I
hope will last a long long time.

Any thoughts about quality and longevity of

Epson Ultra Premium Glossy photo paper
or
HP Premium Plus HP Photo Paper high gloss

I wouldn't expect Vivera inks and Epson (Ultra) Premium Gloss photo
paper to offer good longevity. Dye inks on "fast dry" type papers are
generally a poor combination - as the dye is susceptible to fading
(sometimes very rapidly) from ozone and other pollutants.
HP "Advanced" photo paper may be an exception to this - offering
fast-dry and reasonable archival properties - claimed by HP to be
similar to wet-process photo prints - but about half the expected life
of the same inks on the premium plus paper. Downside is that the
advanced paper feels cheap IMO.

It is getting better with the newer inks. I have not experience any
fading in 2 years. As for micropourous instant dry papers that may be
the case. That is why I chose Ilford Classic Pearl over Ilford Smooth
Pearl.
