Epson C80 probs

Greetings,

C80, 18 months old, paper jam, paper tore off unable to find it, printer
would not work, found paper under ink cartridge carriage soaked in ink,
dismantled printer to clear obstruction, cartridges empty, printer works
now, but no ink although on screen ink profile OK, replaced cartridges, ink
leaked out again ... any ideas?

I have the same printer. I dont' think ink leak, may you see old remained
ink (leak is a very rare case on this printer). I suspect clogged printhead
because of much time the printer remained with the carriage out of parking
position. It uses pigmented ink, if there is air in the printhead or stay
out of parking position could clogged in a day or so. Mine remained one day
with bad nozzle check pattern, I recovered the printhead with much effort.
Hence, I think 3 days could render the printhead unusable.

Had the same problem. Something broke in the paper feed and clogged
head.

Much cheaper to replace than repair,, bought a Canon with a
replaceable print head.

End of C80 problems!
