The C and CX series printers use Durabrite inks which often clog the
heads or other parts. Don't waste any more time of ink on cleaning
cycles. Even though it probably isn't using any ink, the cartridge
chips are being written down and to get at that ink you would need to
reset the cartridges with a special device or software, and more
cleaning cycles won't fix it.
I have written a rather lengthy and complete manual of how to fix most C
and CX printers, which I offer for free. It explains how to check for
the more typical problems and repair them, as well as how to unclog the
heads using very reasonably priced household cleaning supplies.
