Epson and Xp problems

Anyone had problems running an Epson printer with XP pro, just that since I
have installed the Epson c64 printer every now and again the screen goes
blank and everything reappears, icons and sys tray but without the Epson
monitor icon

any advise
 
Reinstall it. Remove the cable. Go to device manager and delete it. Power off,
connect the cable and power on. Plug and play or USB will find it and install
it. After it is found and installed you must reboot to use it.
