Envelopes

I have a custom sized business envelope that I often use, how do I force Word
to save a user specified address location? Word wants to put the address
along the bottom edge of the envelope. I can change the address location in
Evelope Options, but Word will not save the location I want as the default.
It always reverts back to "Auto."

Hi Bill,

Changing the formatting of an address from within the Envelopes and Labels
dialog box does not permanently change the formatting. To do that, you must
modify the Envelope Address or Envelope Return Style.

Click Styles and Formatting on the Formating toolbar.

Int he Show box at the bottom of the task pane, click All Styles.

Right-click either Envelope address or Envelope Return, and then click Modify.

Select any options you want. To see more options, click Format, and then
click the attribute - such as Font - you want to change.

Click OK after you've changed each attribute, and then repeat for any
additional attributes you want to change.

I hope this has been helpful to you.

Thank you Carol, but that fix didn't work. I even tried to change the styles
by opeining the Normal Template itself and modifying the styles there, but
then when you go to create an envelope, the Options boxes for the location of
the addresses contains the word "Auto" and the address is down at the bottom
of the envelope. I am trying to find a way to streamline the process so that
I don't have to adjust the location of the address each time I mail an
envelope. If you have any other ideas, please let me know. Thanks again.

After you've done all that Carol said, you have to click on Default to save
for all mailings and say Yes to change the template for all docs.
