When you receive an email you get the notification. If you do not respond you
get an envelope in your system tray. When you double click the emvelope
Outlook opens, but it opens to the last read message and not the new email. I
like that for the fact that I may not want to open the new email at this
time. This prevents me from having to mark it as unread or place a follow-up
flag on it. I support 750 Sales reps on systems and they would like it to
open the new email. Can you reply with your thought behind this feature.

When you've received multiple e-mails and double click the envelope what
message should it open then? After you've read that message you would still
want to open the main Outlook window to check the other e-mails you've
received.

You want to consider other notification methods instead. See;
