Entry Point Not Found

I am receiving the following messages and after I press
okay the computer sits with only the cursor on the screen.

Here are the messages:

services.exe Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point_resetskoflw could not be located
in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll

in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll

Whats the problem, and how can I fix it? I can't log on
to my computer at all, or start in safe mode, do I need to
do a complete reinstall or is there a way I can repair
this?

you will have to try restoring the registry files using
the recovery console from the xp cd. do a search for
Q307545 on the knowledge base for a walk through on how
to do this.
