Enterprise Solution???

This seems okay for home users, but will there be an
enterprise solution? If there will be, I really hope it
does not involve SMS.

Sunbelt Software sells an enterprise version of CounterSpy, a clone of MS
Antispyware. Haven't tried it yet.

Have there been any talks yet other than this, if
Microsoft is deciding to provide an enterprise solution
for this? Will the updates for this be able to be pushed
with SMS or WUS? Also being able to push this with SMS to
a 2600 client base? Thanks

Home users are the most vulnerable to spyware etc. they
don't have system admins who also have to deal with this,
but we have tools knowledge to curb the problem. This
product is for them.

I am in agreement that the Enterprise is also in need of
a no-thrills version that is usable via SUS or SMS for a
basic level of protection. This product is USELESS in an
enterprise environment currently. I can't adjust
settings to allow VBS to run without stopping for
example. 80% of our automated software installs use
vbs. show-stopper right there. A perfect product would
allow configuration of this tool though group policy,
allow certain types of script files etc to run. OR the
ability to DISABLE this feature (I thought I disabled
this, but I am still getting prompted.)

Agreed on all points.

I'd strongly suggest that all of you who are corporate
users talk to your Microsoft account reps and TAM's and
let them know what your corporate needs are.

In the meantime, Sunbelt (CounterSpy Enterprise Edition),
WebWasher, and others are providing what I'd consider to
be true enterprise-level products.

BTW, CounterSpy is not a clone of MS AS; Sunbelt licensed
the AS detection and removal and retains rights to spynet
updates for the next several years. CounterSpy Enterprise
Edition adds tons of features aimed specifically at the
needs of corporate administrators. How did they determine
what those were? They asked corporate admins. Good idea!

Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with Sunbelt in any way,
not even a customer, but I think they've done a very good
job. Anyone looking for enterprise spyware protection
should certainly check it out to see what a full feature
set looks like.
