Using Outlook 2003.
When entering a few characters of an email in the "TO:" field I get a drop
drop list of emails but many of them are unwanted.

How do I purge or edit this list to get rid of the "clutter"

Thanks

one option, if you can do without the majority of entries in this
drop-down box and don't mind doing a wipe on the entire contents of
this cache, is to delete the .nk2 file. This is a hidden file. Easiest
way to find where it's located is to do a search (*.nk2) (minus quote
brackets). Be sure to look for hidden files. After deleting, it will
re-create itself and begin populating.

If you want to delete only specific entries, tap over into the
drop-down window that opens and highlight the entry you want to delete,
and hit the delete key.

You can also turn off this feature altogether, by going the tools
===>options route. Look for the advanced email. Don't recall exact
settings, but should be able to find -
