Entering different fades

I made a vidoe at my home using my movie maker and I am trying to make on for
my dad. His vidoe maker, however, does have have and spaces in between each
clip for me to enter different symbols so his photos come on different ways.
Like one fades in and the other picture will come on like it is being
shattered together and the next one could scroll into the movie..etc. Can
anyone help me. I would appreciate it.

the older version 1 of Movie Maker doesn't have the special transitions and
effects that version 2 has....

If you save the movie and give it to him, he doesn't play it in Movie
Maker... he uses his Windows Media Player.
