I have 2 computers networked. Whenever my wife tries to open Outlook 2003
she gets the "enter network prompt" dialog box for her pop (yahoo) e-mail
account. Keep putting in the correct password, but it doesn't work. We have
this problem on both computers, as they share the personal folders file. I
don't have this problem with my account (same computers). I'm at my wits end
trying to correct this...HELP#!#!@

Sharing the same personal folders file between two computers is not
supported, and may well be the cause of your problems...

That doesn't make sense, as I have been operating like this for 6 months
without any problems. Also - I don't have this issue on my XP user name,
only my wife's.

The fact that something is not supported doesn't mean that you can't get
away with doing it, but it does mean that you may encounter problems for
which there are no solutions. If you're pointing multiple profiles in
Outlook on multiple machines to the same PST file, you're definitely asking
for trouble - Outlook was not designed with this in mind. Your wife would
be better served by having her own PST file.

She has her own .PST file, shared by 2 computers. Reading in other forums, I
understand this is a problem experienced by others who don't network .PST
files. Can't you offer me any assistance with this? Again, I have no
problems with my .PST file, only hers. Thank you.

Also - I disabled the shared .PST files for my wife's Outlook access, so that
only one computer has access. Still having the same problem.....HELP!!!

I'm trying to solve a similar problem. Did you get an answer from Jeff
Stephenson?

Could you specify your setup a bit more?
Version of Outlook?
Applied latest servicepack and hotfixes?
What account type do you use?
Do you have more than one account configured?
