I've seen a lot of posts on this, but no answers. As Tricia says, when I hit an enter in IE 6.0, my window becomes inactive. What a pain! Any suggestions?

Sounds like the effects of malware to me, perhaps bad BHO.
(e.g. "something" intercepts transmission and then forgets to
restore focus. This would be related to the case where the
user can hardly type into the Address bar before "something"
changes focus and causes the accumulated typing to be selected
and hence lost on the next character keystroke.)
Which OS? (so we can know what diagnostics may be possible
and which we should know anyway before a Repair can be
a completely valid suggestion.)
