Enter data on SubForm

Hello group,

I've been reading several posts about subforms. Many of them say to
base a subform on a query and not directly to the table.

What if the subform is used for data entry? I'm assuming the only
option is to then base the subform on the table sans query.

Why assume that? Some queries are not updatable, but some are. Is there
something special about your subform?

Thanks Jeff,

There's nothing special about my subform. Would the query have to be
an action query?
