Hi all,

In EWF, if i set the entire drive to be read only, the settings that
are changed donot get saved.

But now, in the C: Drive, I want to have only c:\windows\system32\
only to be read only. All the other places in the C Drive must be Read
Writable. What should be done for this?

with regards,
Ranga.

Ranga,

EWF will only protect volumes and not specific directories. Within the the
file system you could set specific files and directories as read-only, but
the OS system directories you might have some problems.

Thanks Sean,

I know, that to make a directory READ ONLY, we have to click
Properties and Check READONLY.

Other than this, how can this be done using EWF.

Please help me.

with regds,
Ranga.

Ranga,

EWF cannot do what your looking to do. EWF only protects volumes. You might
want to try the online chat meeting on August 7th that Andy Allred has
posted in the news group. The focus is on EWF.
