English to SImplified Chinese

I don't know if I am at the correct site but have been trying to find if
there is anyway I can input in English and have it translated to Chinese. I
brought up the language support and did everything suggested. When I use the
Chinese language and I type in the box in English it does not translate
correctly. If I try to put in "What is your name?" it stops. I am using
Word 2003. Is there something I am missing.

Would appreciate any help.

I heard, AltaVista's Babel fish was pretty good. yahoo's translating
WebPages was not too bad. both does not deal with technical terms.


However Word has IME you can use and have choice of actually input by
voice, keyboard and tablet in many languages. If you can write / speak in
Chinese, you probably better off using direct input methods. Of course,
this method may prove a bit difficult for ones who are phonetically
challenged or daunting to write. No machine translation is perfect.

BTW, you know the bible well enough to recite in English verses , you may
find searching Chinese bible online by verse provides you with better
translation except for technical terms

I've played with machine translations at several of these sites--Babelfish,
for example. In my expinece, it's not that "No machine translation is
perfect," it's more that,except for writing of the Dick and Jane variety,
*all* machine translations are terrible.

Just as an example, I took the paragraph you wrote above, and had Babelfish
turn it into Simplified Chines, than from Chinese back into English. Here's
the result:
