Ending Program-Sample

Lately, every time I try to shut down my computer (and after closing out of
all programs) a box opens stating "Ending Program-Sample." Then after a few
seconds, I get another box stating that the "program is not responding..." I
am using XP with SP2. I haven't added anything to the HD in weeks...except
to update virus scans and Windows.

This problem is not hurtful...just very annoying. Any ideas?

Yes...I have lavasoft and spybot...checked them and there is no problem.
The other programs you suggested...I was unaware of them. I'll give it a
shot. Any other ideas?

i have the same problem, cept for me its the lexmark program that wont
close, sent a lot of error messages cause of it, and i got the lastest
drivers and such from lexmark,

Well...I'm not at the computer right now...but if I remember correctly...it
runs with Windows XP SP2 with over 500 RAM and 40 g HD. It's a notebook
(DELL). What else do you need to know?
