end program error at shutdown/outlook XP

Thanks for responding Ken. I guess I should have
mentioned that my outlook program is closed, as are all
other programs, when I shut down. Strange that windows
is responding with the "end program" message, when
outlook is closed! What next?

I have the same problem. If I open Task Manager I sometimes see 3 or 4
instances of outlook running. This sometimes happens with OE also. At
least I think so. There are several instances of msie running. I think
this causes problems with slow response times, but I don't have a solution.
