Encrypting email with Outlook 2003

Hi all. I hope someone will be able to answer my question. I would like
to be able to send encrypted emails through outlook. I just do not know
how to go about the best way of doing this? Before being digitally
certified through VeriSign (etc.), we would like to try this concept
first before paying the money. How can we encrypt our emails? Can we
make our own digital certificates for testing purposes? We are on a
Server 2000 domain environment. We looked at PGP Desktop but it seemed a
little too complicated. The people we will be communicating with will
also be using Outlook and handhelds with Outlook. I appreciate any help
in this matter.

Thanks,
Jeff

You can get freemail certs from Thawte (who was bought by Verisign but
Thawte certs are still free).
