Encrypt Attributes

I had some Encrypt attributes files on my computer, after a installation
some systems files start to fail, i had to reinstall my Windows OS, i back up
My Files on a external hard drive, but now I can't open my files, caould some
one helpme whit this problem ??

Unless you saved the certificate, those files are gone, See excerpt from
Windows Help below.

The certificate and private key of all designated recovery agents should
be exported to a removable disk and stored securely until needed. For
more information, see To export a certificate with the private key. When
exporting the certificate and private key, ensure that the selected
certificate includes Encrypting File System in its intended purposes and
that you have the associated private key. You can view the intended
purposes of a certificate by using the Certificates snap-in.

I will NEVER understand why any home user would need encryption. It
is just a recipe for disaster and totally unecessarry. What State
secrets are you protecting for the government, and why are they
storing them on your computer?

There are easier ways to hide your porn collection.
