encountered an error: 0x80070005. Access is denied.

When Automatic scanning is running under a limited account it cannot be stop
manually, Pressing stop scanning will result with this error message:

Window Defender encountered an error: 0x80070005. Access is denied.

Log in as an administrator. Go to Tools, general settings, and scroll all
the way to the bottom. Read the test by that last checkbox under
Administrator options.

I'd see if checking this box does what you want in this situation.

Different environments may choose different settings here. If you are the
sole user and are trying to run as limited user as much as possible,
checking this makes lots of sense. If you are a family with kids, and want
the kids not to be able to choose actions with regard to detections, or
prevent scans, then you'd choose the opposite--the default (assuming the
kids are limited users...)
