Encoding problem

Roger

When I try to view my web pages on the net, characters such as the Copyright
symbol and the Pound sign appear as question marks. The browser seems to
think I'm using UTF-8 but the properties of the web pages clearly show
Windows-ISO. I can change the encoding for the pages in IE6 but it changes
back again after a refresh. Does anyone have any ideas as to what's going on
here please?

TIA.
Rog.

Check the source of the page for a Meta content-type statement
which specifies a charset. That could be overriding the natural
charset of the page. If that is what you are changing and only saving
it into the TIF then of course the effect is only temporary, e.g. Ctrl-F5
refresh would replace it.
