EncoderParamter Class

I am using the EncoderParameter Class to convert images and would like to
find the definitions of the Encoder properties like ColorDepth, RenderMethod,
etc. Does anyone know of a book or preferably a website that describes what
each of these properties does to the image?

The samples on MSDN are the last time I saw it only for C#

I tried Bob's site but I couldn't find any information on what the different
Encoder properties meant except for compression and Quality. Thanks anyway
