Design view is greyed out on this one mdb file, which has
disabled design view. How was that done, and how can one
enable design view again?

Is the file actually an MDB or is it an MDE? "Design view" of what (forms,
tables, queries,...)?
Is the file from an earlier version of Access?

Good question: I looked it up, and it is an mde file,
from Access 2000, and it is design view of the form. I
guess that means it used some kind of VBA coding? Where
would that be, and can I delete it?
Thanks,
van.

You can not edit the form on an MDE you have to have the orginally MDB it
was created from.

Thank you; that explains a lot. I'll have to find that
mdb file, and see.
