I am new to XP having used 2K Pro for the past few
years. I want to be able to lock my computer to hitting
ctrl+alt+del like I do in 2K. I tried going to the user
accounts>advance tab as the help suggested but there was
no advance tab available.

Is it possible to use this feature in XP? At the moment,
ctrl+alt+del just gives me the task manager.

Thanks,

Hi,

If you disable the Welcome screen for logons (control panel/users/"change
the way..."), you will get the Win2000 style options menu when you use CAD.

If you hit the Winkey+L, you can lock the computer (if the welcome screen is
disabled) or return to the Welcome screen for fast user switching (if the
Welcome screen is enabled).

DaC,

Disable Fast User Switching. If you have Fast User Switching enabled, you
cannot lock the computer.
When you press Winkey+L, it goes to Welcome Screen instead of Locking the
Workstation.

If you don't want to disable FUS, download the utility below which can Lock
the Workstation even with Fast User Switching Enabled.
