Enabling and disabling a network interface via command line.

Here is my problem,
I help setup the network at a local school, CCNA programs. They use XP
machines that run two net. cards, one used for the labs and network
simulation and one for using the actual network. I am trying to get a batch
file or a shortcut to disable one and enable the other, how can I do this?
