Enable web access for limited accounts

I recently set up a user account as a limited account on my WinXPHomeSP2
system. This limited account can't connect to the internet and there is
nothing in the knowledge base on this problem. I want the limited account to
have internet access, access to some installed programs and access to only a
few folders. I have found info on folders, but nothing else. When logged in
on my administrator account, I can change the name, password, picture, etc.,
of the user account, but nothing that's really useful.

Hello there:

Actually, I read a lot of posts and a lot of them have similar problems
as the one you described. I haven't really given much thoughts to it so
it might not work but its worth a try:

-Log into your administrator account
-Hit Start || Run || type control userpasswords2
-Locate the Limited Account and double click on it
-Go into the Group Membership tab
-Once here, you can try to give the account RESTRICTED USER mode. If
that doesn't work, try Other, and then from the dropdown box, try USERS
mode. You can the other modes if they both do not help at all.
