Ms Excel 2002

Dear Sir,

how are you,

basically i am working with a Bank & i have been assigned to collect some
data from Branches on Excel Sheets,

the problem lies that i don’t want that they be able to ADD any Formula into
that sheet but only my formula’s can be used!

so that there should be no WRONG Sum values!

so, what i have done is that i have search trhe folllowing code

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)

On Error GoTo ws_exit
Application.EnableEvents = False

If Target.HasFormula Then
Target.Value = ""

MsgBox "Please Kindly dont Add any Farmula! Thanks", vbOKOnly

End If

ws_exit:
Application.EnableEvents = True
End Sub

but the problem is TO ENABLE RUNING MACROS,

& i don’t think that all the users have good understanding with Excel and
Security Option!

i know you might take it as Hacking, but By GOD i don’t mean or what to do
any Hacking,

Just want To AUTO ENABLE Running of MACROS without User permission

i hope you understand my pain! & like to help me out!

thanking you in advance

regards,

One way would be to protect the entire contents of the spreadsheet from any
when you deliver it and only by enabling macros and running them could ANY
data be written to the spreadsheet because only then would the protection be
taken off. You'll have to plan how to make sure cell contents get relocked,
I suggest on unloading or closing have it re-lock everything. Good luck.

You cannot enable macros without the user's permission.

If you could then there would be no need to have security levels and the virus
writers would have a great time.

Educate your users is about all you can do other than making the workbook
unusable if users disable macros.
