Enable Password Policy question

We recently migrated our system from Netware to Windows. Until now, our
users had accounts in Novell and accounts in Active Directory. We are ready
to enable the Group Policy Password policy in AD, but are unsure how these
changes will take effect. We plan on using the following settings:
Password history - 24
Max password age - 45 days
Min password age - 2 days
Min password length - 8
password complexity - disabled

Once enabled, will all of our users be prompted to change their password at
next logon?

The user's with passwords over 45 days will be affected when the policy is
enabled.

User's whose passwords are under 45 days will not be affected until their
password reached 45 days old.
