Enable DMA on CD Rom Drive

Hi
I had Intel application accelerator installed, and I discovered one of my CD
Rom's had DMA turned off.
I un-installed the Intel software so I could enable DMA, but the resource
tab is missing from my drives in device manager.
How can I get the resource tab back for my drives in device manager so I can
enable DMA.
Thank you
Ken'

You have to reboot after uninstalling IAA. I have done it several times in
order to upgrade the firmware on my Sony DRU-500a DVD/CD-RW drive.

The IAA will always use DMA for devices if possible. So investigate in
BIOS setup, and make sure that the UDMA is not turned off there. Also
that the cabling is sound.

If IAA is not in use, the standard drivers have the DMA status set in
Device Manager under IDE ATA/ATAPI Hard disk controllers (includes CD on
the controllers). D-click the Primary or secondary, as appropriate and
it is the Advanced page
