Hi Fonzo2,

Have you run a Full Anti-Virus Scan and Spyware Scan on the operating
system's partitiion?

I ran the anti-programs on "my computer," I don't know about any partitions.
The malware removal tool fixed the display problem, but now I have a blank
(white) screen over my desktop, and I can't see my normal desktop with
programs/files, etc. I just get the normal windows toolbar at the bottom
(with Start Button). When I click on the desktop properties, it says it's an
HTML document located at file://C:\DOCUME~1\User\LOCALS~1\Temp\e419f1d75.html
I deleted that file, but no effect.

Hi Fonzo2,

Open Display from the Control Panel and click on Desktop and select a
Background or use Browse and Browse to this folder:
C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper

Select a Background and then click Apply then OK.

Yeah, did that, and I still get the white background that appears a few
seconds after my original background shows up. Is it a registry edit issue?

Hi Fonzo2,

How many User IDs are on your computer? Use Explore and go to each User
ID and delete all files and sub-folders of your \Temp folders. Also delete
as many files and all the Sub-folders of the C:\Windows\Temp.

Here is a good Windows Registry Cleaner plus. http://www.tune-up.com/
Tuneup Utilities 2006 is the program and it has a 30-day Free Trial Period.

Try that program and see if it helps you.
