Bonnie

Hi,
I really need some help here, my daughter is taking a
college course, and everytime I try to help her get on
it, it tells me to go to the options on my browser and
enable cookies in the security section, I have been all
through each and everyone of them and no where does it
say anything about enabling cookies. I am at a loss of
what to do now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Bonnie

Hi Bart & Bonnie,

The default Privacy setting is Medium; Medium-High will restrict more
cookies than Medium.

Changing the security setting sliders is not recommended as it alters the
security level for every site you visit. You should change cookie
permissions and security settings on a per site basis.
Here is the help file text for altering cookies settings for a single site:

To customize your privacy settings for an individual Web site
1.. In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2.. Click the Privacy tab, and then click Edit.*
3.. In Address of Web site, type the complete address of the Web site for
which you want to specify custom settings. For example,
http://www.microsoft.com
4.. To specify that you want Internet Explorer to always allow cookies
from the specified Web site to be saved on your computer, click Allow. To
specify that you want Internet Explorer to never allow cookies from the
specified Web site to be saved on your computer, click Block.
* Note: On XP SP2 you click "Sites" on the privacy tab rather than "Edit"

If you search the Help file for "cookies" it will list this entry in it's
entirety.
