enable a disabled user account

my windows user account became "disabled" and does not appear at the login
screen. when i use the secure method (the one where you type in your user
name) it says something like "this account has been restricted"

windows XP home

does anyone know how to enable it??
 
The User Accounts app in Control Panel will lift the password restriction.
Log on as another Administrator, and change that.

To Logon as Default Administrator on Pro Edition, from Welcome screen, press
Ctrl-Alt-Delete, Twice , type "Administrator" and use a blank password (on
Home edition - boot to Safe mode - F8 on restart , same logon)
