Empty second page in Report

I'm working on my first project in Access 2003 (although I have a very
little experience with earlier versions). Going reasonably well. I have two
queries working well and am setting up a report for one of them. Only
problem - the report only takes one page but I always get in Print Preview
or Layout view a second page with nothing on it but the page headers. Why?

You may have a page break some where is your grouping footer or after your
detail section

In addition to Allen's suggestion I suggest you look carefully at the
right margin. In anything goes over the margin, it will cause a nearly
blank page to be created. That blank page may have only one pixel on it.
Horizontal lines or boxes are the usual problems.

The incorrect margins or page setup would give you a blank page, which could
range from a total blank page to a page which has lines and some of the
header and footers etc.

But Stuart said that he had page headers, so I am assuming all the page
header is there

Thank you both very much from your prompt and helpful suggestions. It must
have been a page break in the report footer although I could not see it in
design view. The report has no report footer but I think in playing around
with it I may have put one in, taken it out and left a blank space with a
page break. Anyway I changed the properties of the report footer to Not
Visible and the problem has disappeared.
Incidentally, Joseph, I did earlier have this problem because of the right
margin but I managed to figure that out.
I don't like to bother you fellows too much but could either of you tell me
how to put in a nice thick line after the heading parallel to the grid.
There was one in the automatic Access version but I took it out because of
the right margin problem. When I try to put one in using the line tool in
the Toolbox, my shaky hand makes it not parallel or I get two lines the
wrong width. There must be an easier way.

The trick is to hold the shift key down then select the line tool, KEEP
HOLDING THE SHIFT KEY DOWN and place the start of the line where you want to
start your line then draw the line the required distance, hopefully you will
have a nice straight line. If you do not hold the shift key down the line
could become crooked.

The thickness of your line can be set by using the border width property of
the line, the default value is Hairline if you set it at 2pt you will get a
thick line.

parts but I have got the idea and will persevere.
