Brian S.

I have an empty folder on my desktop that I am not able to delete. I
relative must of dragged and dropped it or something. The exact path is

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\

I know I don't want to get rid of the desktop, but there are no icons in the
folder and it says will not delete from source disk.

Is there anyway to delete this folder?

Thanks In Advance

brian

You need to be logged in as Administrator to delete it as it is in the
Administrators profile. Right click on the folder and go to Properties and
click on the Security Tab. Make sure you have Full Control permission and
then try to delete it.

Hope this helps!

Try deleting the folder in Safe Mode. Restart your PC - press F8 before the
message "Starting Windows XP". This will bring up the Boot Menu. Press Enter
on Safe Mode and after login try to delete the folder.

Let us know, if this method works!

Sounds strange.... but I know there are some stubborn folders out
there...

I use a program called KillBox that you can drag about any file or
folder to and it will erase it from your disk. it's done some I
couldn't take out even at the command prompt using the 8.3 name for
it.

You can use Google to find the application.

Good luck!
