I us RmEmpty (as in "ReMove EMPTY folders") (DOS) v1.2 by Douglas
Good, freeware, to delete my empty folders. It's a 37k executable.
Not sure where I found it, but a search should turn it up.

Has worked well for me.

Warning - no second chances, no undelete.
