Empty Deleted Items Folder

Clicking On the "Empty Deleted Items Folder" does not delete the items in the folder. I can delete items one at a time but I have over 800 items to be deleted and I'm not ready to do one at a time. Does anyone have an answer for this?

Hi, Al.

That should work - but then, you knew that. :>(

There are several possible workarounds. Try this one:

Open the Deleted Items folder, click on any message there, then press <Ctrl>+A to select them all. Then press the Delete key and answer "Yes" to the Are you sure question. You could hold the Shift key while you press the Delete key, but, since the messages are already in Deleted Items, that's not really necessary. Give it a little time; deleting that many messages will take a while.

You may also want to click on "File"..."Work off line", then delete the
files and go back and check work online. That used to work with Outlook.

Try this:
First uncheck Group Messages by conversation and then try deleting them.
