empty archive folders

After archiving my supervisor's emails today (10/25/06) from 2002 thru 2004,
the original folders and archived folders are empty. The original folders do
exist and the corresponding archive folders were made, but are empty. It
does not appear to have anything to do with the modified date.

Any idea as to why this happened and how to get back the emails?

The only thing I can think of is that the messages were probably
archived to a different PST file than the one you think it had.

Search the system for any *.PST files, and check the ones that have
today's modified date.

Thanks for the input. After I was able to get back to the computer again, we
accessed the modified date and discovered that was the culprit. I have yet
to determine what changes the modified date. Some of the emails have
definitely not been accessed since they were received, which could have been
2002, 2003, etc. Must be something with our email server.
