Hi there,

I'm placing a movie file (avi) inside the ppt. I want that movie file not to
be linked to the file as I want to send that to another location. Iam going
through the options Insert - object - create from file - browse the file -
unchek the link. But in the slide show the movie is playing like a fast
forward in slide show but not as a general play. If I place the movie through
the options Inesrt - object - create new, then the movie is playing normally
but it is linked and hence it will not display if it is send to another
location.

Can anyone tell me the procedure or tool which can completely embed the
movie file (avi), I dont mind the file size of ppt. This is emergency...pls
help

Thanks in advance...

Unfortunately, you cannot embed a video in PowerPoint.

You cannot embed any movie in a presentation. This is independent of the
method you use to insert it and independent of file type, there's no way.

Copy the movie to the same folder as the presentation, then use Insert -
Film and Sound - From file to link it to the ppt. Use WinZip or similar
programs to pack PPT and movie to one file.

Best regards,
Ute

Sorry, but it can't be done. Videos are always linked in PowerPoint.
However I have built an add in that addresses this. It's called PFCExpress
and you can download a fully functioning trial from www.pfcmedia.com

Don't worry if you don't want to buy it, the two week trial is free and
should get you out of this pinch.
