Hi i just recently found out how to embed images to the the templates when i
was uploading it to my site, but i found that the only way to do this was by
hyperlinking the images , but this made a all the images linked ,

so does any one know how to embedd image without linking them useing
frontpage?

when i started my browser visual editor i saw that all the images had x's in
them and i had to insert each image , but when i hperlinked the images with
frontpage and saved the changes a box came up and said embeded images and it
therer was a list of all the images i had hyperlinked i uploded the new index
to the site and all the images were in there postion but had all had links

All HTML pages require all images to be linked, this is not a FP issue.

Before you add any image onto a web page, you must IMPORT the image
into your existing web. Then make sure you publish (i.e. upload to the
remote server) all of the image files in addition to the web page
itself. If you add an image which isn't already in the web, you get the
dialog box you saw.

Remember that HTML is strictly a text type fiole. Images are not really
embedded into the page. When you insert an image onto a web page, all
you really do is add a LINK to the image, which the Browser then
interprets as "insert this image file in this position".

If you look at the HTML source for the page, the link to the image will
be in this form: <img src="../images/usssp.gif" width="500"
height="76"> where src="/images/usssp.gif" is interpreted as "use the
usssp.gif image found in the /images/ directory".
