Embedding word docs in a word doc.

I'd like to embed existing word files into a word document and then be able to e-mail the whole kit and kaboodle to a different user. I would like the embedded objects to appear as hyperlinks, not icons. How in the heck to I do that? Is it possible? I read a thread about links to embedded objects not working when e-mailed. I'd like to avoid that problem. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

First, you need to be clear on the terminology, or you'll go crazy with the
help files. Hyperlinking and embedding are different things.

Put the main file and all the linked files in the same folder. Use Insert >
Hyperlink (not Insert > Object) to create the hyperlinks to the documents.
Email the whole set of files.
