The issue is I want to embed fonts that may not be available on multiple
machines. When the presentation is displayed on machines without the font a
substitution is made. I would like to know how I can save the presentation in
a way that the fonts will be embedded into the presentation and not
substituted.

Varies a bit depending on the version of PPT being used. But from PPT 2002+
go to TOOLS >> OPTIONS >> SAVE tab >> check mark EMBED TRUE TYPE FONTS and
EMBED ALL CHARACTERS.

'Cept if you happen to be using a Unicode font, you may want to embed just the
needed glyphs. Embedding a 15mb font file can make your presentation grow just
a bit. ;-)

No doubt there are adventures lying in wait when you embed just the needed
glyphs ...
