I am trying to embed a microsoft project file into my presentation. Once I
get the project file to look how i want it in powerpoint and later update the
actual project file. the embedded project in powerpoint updates but changes
the view and I have to mess with it again to get it to look how I want. Is
there a way to lock the format or something so that everytime I update the
project file it , I won't have to resize the embedded file. (in my mind it
defeats the purpose of embedding files)

Thanks for you assistance,
Justin

It does seem hard to defend as a design feature, doesn't it? But it's the way
embedded objects work.

Have you tried linking instead? Rather than pasting from Project, try Edit,
Paste Special, put a check next to Link.

I don't use Project so I've no idea if it'll work, but doing this solves the
same problem with Excel objects.
